E & L’s spring elopement in Provo Canyon was quiet, personal, and full of heart.
What E and L asked for:
Private vows with a mountain view
Ceremony with family near water and mountains
A relaxed day to enjoy in privacy with the people and moments that mattered most.
With just two weeks' notice, we helped them craft a personalized two-part experience that felt completely true to them. We started with an adventure session just for the two of them. It was cloudy and drizzly, but honestly, the rain gave everything this moody, peaceful energy that just worked. They exchanged private vows tucked into the mountains while the mist rolled through the canyon. We actually love weather like this, clouds drifting through the mountains, soft light peeking out, and even a surprise rainbow made the whole moment feel dramatic and cinematic. Honestly, we’ll take a day like this over blue, boring skies any time. tucked into the mountains while the mist rolled through the canyon. It was quiet and emotional.
After that, we met up with their parents at a second spot in the canyon for their ceremony. The rain let up just enough, and the light was soft and beautiful. Both sets of parents were there, bundled up and smiling. Their ceremony was simple and sweet. The groom's dad actually officiated the ceremony, which made the moment feel even more personal and special. You could tell how much it meant to everyone to be there.
This is exactly the kind of day we love helping couples create. No rush, no expectations, just space to slow down and really soak it in.
Why Provo Canyon in Utah is Great for Elopements
Provo Canyon is a bit of a hidden gem for couples looking to elope in the mountains of Northern Utah. It’s just a short drive from Salt Lake City, but once you’re in it, it feels totally tucked away. There’s a mix of forest, cliffs, waterfalls, and open meadows and in spring, everything is green and alive.
It’s great for couples who want beautiful views without a big hike, or who want something low-key but still stunning. It’s also easy to find quiet pockets for either a private vow exchange or a small group ceremony. E and L’s elopement was a reminder that your day doesn’t need a crowd, perfect weather, or a packed timeline to be meaningful. It just needs intention.
If you’re thinking about eloping somewhere close to Salt Lake but surrounded by nature Provo Canyon should be on your radar. And if you want help planning a day that’s true to you, we’d love to be a part of it.
