Nobody warned this couple it would rain. We’re glad it did.

The umbrellas came out, and so did the best photos of the day.

We don’t fight the weather. We just adjust the plan a little and keep going.

Also, we don’t cancel for rain. We just get a little more creative.

Rain on your wedding day isn’t bad luck.

Some would say it’s the opposite. 🍀

But honestly it’s just Tuesday in the mountains.

As we like to remind ourselves we can’t control the weather. We can control how we show up for it.

As long as the love is there, we can make amazing images.

Rain or shine.🤍

Rolling with the weather is just part of how we shoot in the mountains.

And to be honest some of the best light we’ve ever shot came from a storm rolling through.

Vows exchanged, rain and all.

This is the part no weather report can change.

Thanks for reading all the way to the end 🙂.

Katie and Graham’s Park City elopement was one of those days where everything just came together.

They got ready at the Montage Deer Valley, did a first look on the slopes, and then drove up to Empire Pass with their families for a ceremony on the rocks with mountain views in every direction.

Katie’s sister officiated, there were bubble machines, handwritten vows, and a poem Graham wrote himself.

After dinner at the Montage they came back outside for golden hour portraits and the light that evening was unreal.

These two met in London, did long distance across an ocean, and finally got to start their life together in the mountains. It was intimate, personal, and exactly them.

Jake & Katelyn woke up to moody skies, rain overnight, and clouds sitting heavy over the valley. Not exactly what you picture for your elopement day in the Tetons.
