Why choose one side of the Tetons when you can experience both?

They turned their elopement into a two-day adventure, giving themselves time to enjoy every part of it without rushing.

Day one began on the quiet side of the Tetons, away from the crowds. Just the two of them, exploring together and exchanging private vows with the mountains surrounding them.

The next day, they got ready on the Idaho side before heading into Grand Teton National Park for a ceremony with their family.

Private vows, time alone in the mountains, and a celebration with the people they love most. Two days gave them the full Teton experience.

Lately, we have been thinking a lot about the places we photograph and the impact we have by sharing them.

There is nothing wrong with choosing a well-known location.

They are popular for a reason, and for many couples, those places hold real meaning.

But we also want to keep searching for quieter alternatives for couples who want a little more space and privacy.

That reflection made us think of this amazing backcountry skiing elopement.

A day built around something they truly loved, away from the crowds, with plenty of space to simply enjoy being together.

We do not have all the answers, but we are trying to be more thoughtful about the experiences we create, the places we share, and how we can help take a little pressure off the busiest landscapes.

A few favorites from Abby and Austin’s wildflower elopement this summer 🌼

We met them before sunrise and watched the first light come over the mountains before they exchanged vows surrounded by wildflowers. They were so much fun to work with, and the entire morning felt peaceful, simple, and completely true to them.

A quick note about these photos a few angles may make it look like they are standing directly in the wildflowers, but this location has designated dirt pullouts and photo spots. If you have been here, you probably know exactly where they are. With a little creativity and the right angle, you can create images like these without stepping into the flowers.

We always follow Leave No Trace practices. No wildflowers were harmed, and no trace was left behind. Always. 🌿

On another note.

Busy season is officially here!

Over the next few months, we will be photographing elopements across Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and even Iceland this year. We are so excited for everything ahead and incredibly grateful for all of our couples.

As we move into our busiest time of year, we kindly ask for a little extra patience with email and message response times. Stefan and I do our best to stay on top of communication while also traveling, photographing elopements, creating timelines, and editing.

To our booked couples, we always make sure your timeline and final details are in place within the weeks leading up to your elopement. Your experience and your photos are our priority.

We have photographed so many amazing elopements over the past few weeks, and we cannot wait to share them here. Posting may happen a little more slowly for now as we focus on taking care of our current couples, but there is so much goodness coming soon.
